“Rediscover Play was built on the belief that all children should have regular opportunities to connect, play, and learn within nature. Each day we strive to provide a child-centred, inquiry-driven outdoor environment that supports safe risk taking. We are committed to providing children repeated access to the same natural space over an extended period of time to foster a sense of belonging and an ethic of care towards nature.””
What is Nature School?
Participating in Nature School increases a child’s perseverance, resilience, self-esteem, and mental health well-being - it is a holistic approach that compliments all learning styles and learning needs. Our educators allow for child led inquiry and emergent curriculum to guide them, alongside focused lessons that include building shelters and fires, flint & steel, knots & tarps, compass use, basic navigation skills, knife & real tool use, basic first aid, bear & cougar safety, hikes, plant identification, habitat understanding, pit toilets & outdoor hygiene, science exploration, outdoor cooking, seasonal learning, permaculture & vermicomposting, storytelling, nature crafting, gratitude circles, and loose parts play.
We pay respect to Indigenous Heritage of the land and incorporate Indigenous teachings. We participate in Metis Day and Every Child Matters education.

What is Nature Camp?
Nature Camp is a unique place to learn play and explore. Each day of the week has a theme that involves learning hard skills - and allows children different opportunities to use that learned skill. Bushcraft & Wilderness Survival, Team Challenges, Hikes, Outdoor Cooking and more.
Nature Camp counsellors are facilitators who get dirty as they explore, create, build, learn and move from active sparking of children’s interests into quiet observation and planning.
